Lets review the cons and pros.Cons: not one con i can thinkPros: -This neat little gadget is so effective-it collects so much hair at once-it has a little compartment where all the hair goes into and hold the hair.-it quite heavy duty and can cover larges areas if needed.-It is so easy to use. there is a little button you push above the handle to dispose of the hair directly into the trash-It can work on a variety of surfaces. I tried it on my couch, my car, my clothes, my socks (when my socks are covered in dog hair out of the washer, I place the sock over a small book and it is easy to roll it back and forth to stretch the material and remove the dog hairoverall verdict: it is worth the money. I have tried so many dog hair removal brushes and nothing can compare to this one. i am a dog foster and those who know about huskies, know that they shed SO SO much. this has been a game changer

I purchased this item back in January 2022 and it is now February 2025 and it still works superbly! We have a cocker spaniel mix that sheds LIKE CRAZY, so we use this tool multiple times a day every single day all over our house and on ourselves. I still don’t understand how this thing picks up all the hair it picks up, but I can vouch for the results! It will clear all the hair off, and it doesn’t take much effort. It’s great on bedding, it’s great on clothing (although I’d be super careful with delicate materials), it’s great on our leather couches and our cloth chair. It’s also very quick and easy to empty out. The quality and effectiveness of this product has not decreased in the slightest over the last 3 years. I should mention that it might be slightly difficult to roll it back and forth on clothing that you have on since we all have dips and curves to our bodies. If you’re struggling with that at all, though, just pull the area you’re going over a little tought and it will work just fine. You don’t even have to have it against you – you can pull your shirt out from your body and still easily roll it back and forth over that area. My husband and I do it all the time. Same thing with blankets/bedding. If your bedding won’t stay in place, just hold down an end or pull it a little tought (not a lot, just a little bit) and you’ll be able to roll this back and forth, no problem. The part of my bedding that folds over the edges, I just lift up a little and roll over it. It really is super easy to use. If this thing ever breaks, I will immediately buy a new one.

This thing is worth its weight in gold! It picks up cat fur quickly and easily and it’s super easy to clean out. I use a damp paper towel or a wet wipe to clean the rollers and if I’ve got the vacuum cleaner out, I use it to get the fur out of it. It’s great for using every few days in the places where my cat loves to lounge around and it keeps things looking nice.

I thought this was a dud and it’s been living in a drawer for at least a year. But I got a new couch cover in a claw proof velvety fabric and decided to pull this back out. It’s awesome on this fabric! Just a few quick back and forth swipes and all the cat hair is gone! Super simple to then open it up and remove the hair. (When I first got it back out, I forgot that you needed to go back and forth with this one and not just in one direction to get the hair to come off inside the tool.

I have always had at least one dog and I’m used to coping with some dog hair, but I’ve never allowed dogs on the furniture and I also think that my dogs all had hair that was fairly easy to remove.Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last “not on furniture” dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol’ American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara’s hair is like nothing I’ve seen before… once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets … they all leave a lot behind.Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits’ end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can’t sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others’ pants.Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I’ve tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber… maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!!In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara’s hair (it gets our other dog’s “easy hair” on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable!Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again! The only downsides that I can see are:- Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes.- The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a “me” problem.)- The chom chom is 7.5″ wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they’re being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker’s car to lunch during the workday.)BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.

I have two 86lb pitbulls and black couches…..I sweep the couches, purchased a vacuum, use covers over the couches….this is the only thing that gets ALL the hair off! Time consuming but I definitely get the results I wanted. Doesn’t damage my plushie, easy to clean, easy to use, I am purchasing another for my car. Worth the money.

Worth every cent and more
Where has this been all my life?! I have a lab x staffy who sheds so much that I wonder how he isn’t bald. This just entirely got the fur off my bedding and couch in 5 minutes flat with no effort, a job that normally takes double the time with the vacuum and still leaves a lot of fur behind, or needing to go through an entire roll of a sticky lint roller. I was hesitant due to the cost, but I’m amazed it’s totally worth it. No complaints, 10 stars if I could.

Great product with a couple flaws
It’s the best pet fur remover I’ve used to date and definitely picks up fur remarkably well.Word of caution to anyone with pain or weakness in their arms that it takes time and repetitive physical effort to complete the amount of passes it takes to clean thoroughly.I’m unsure if they offer a smaller version for clothes but that would be grand, as I find it very awkward to use on clothes (especially when on) as you must move the roller back and forth in order for it to pick the fur up. I recommend putting clothing on an ironing board and pulling the fabric taut so it doesn’t flop around while rolling.I find the placement of the button for opening the fur collection compartment aggravating, as due to the placement of it, I constantly pop the lid off while using it. My hands are the size of my 11 y.o. child’s, so I can’t imagine how annoying it would be if I had larger hands. If Chom Chom rollers were $20-$25 and had a smaller, I’d gladly buy several for car, office, home, etc.Would love to see Chom Chom come up with a vacuum attachment. THAT would be well worth $40+, as adding in suction of a vacuum to a product like this would be the perfect pet hair removal device!
