Directions
We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily. MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN Although you’ll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 – 10 days to ease the transition from your dog’s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you’re feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.

I wanted to wait a little while before writing this review to see if it was really going to help or not.My French Bulldog Maelee had been suffering from food allergies for the past couple years. We had went to the vet numerous times and she had to be given antibiotics and ear drops that she had to take on a weekly basis for maintenance to keep ear infections from returning.I did some research on my own, to figure out that recurring ear infections are often a sign of food allergies or intolerance. I switched her food a couple times, trying to steer away from Chicken and just change the protein and I didn’t see a change until I switched to this food. Since this wasn’t a typical limited ingredient diet, rather a specialty diet I thought it was worth a shot it being a little bit cheaper than some of the other options but quiet a bit more expensive than the Purina Beneful or Purina One SmartBlend.I had initially started out with Beneful then changed to Purina one Smartblend with chicken then switching to lamb and it was with those dog foods she was having the allergic reactions to.She would shake her head, scratch her ears, bite her feet, and rub against the furniture all the time like she was so miserable. She would scratch scabs in her ears and it absolutely broke my heart, I can’t take that!!I knew I had to do something and not let her suffer, she is my baby. The vet didn’t mention allergies after the few times we kept taking her back for ear infections, but I’m a responsible pet owner and did the research myself to figure out the cause. (No offense to our vet he’s a wonderful doctor)If your dog is suffering from allergies this food is a really good choice and worth a try. While it may be a little pricey it is well worth the reward in your dog will be a lot happier and healthier.Since switching to this food, she is no longer itching, biting her feet and we have weaned off of the maintenance ear drops from the vet even. I couldn’t be happier~! The quality of life when a dog has allergies has to be absolutely miserable. I was determined to keep switching, paying any amount of money to get my dog back to normal. We also tried the Zippy Paws Aller-Immune chews right around the same time we switched to this dog food, and I’m still giving her those as well. Some of the other reviewers said there were bugs in this dog food. There were no bugs in our bag of dog food and Salmon is the first ingredient. Reading the list of ingredients is a lot better compared to some of the other dog food brands in this category.I couldn’t recommend this dog food enough, and I’ll continue to dish the money out each month to give it to my dog if that means she doesn’t have to suffer from itchy skin and ear infections. If your on the fence about buying this because of all the negative reviews regarding bugs, I inspected my bag thoroughly and there were NO BUGS! Also Purina has very good quality control and I am loyal to this brand.**UPDATE** 09/27/2022My Frenchie has had to go back to the maintenance ear drops from the vet. It’s luckily just a call in prescription no longer requiring an exam every time but she does have to take them again. I don’t think it’s anything to do with her diet anymore rather environmental allergies on top of the protein sensitivity. This food is still working great for her. When the ear infection returned we decided to switch to Hills prescription diet d/d salmon formula, buying it from our local vet and was a lot more expensive than this food. We kept her on that for months but no change in her ears so we switched back to this. I’m still happy with this food and know it’s made her allergies a lot better. There’s just unfortunately not much you can do for environmental allergies besides allergy medicine to help from the vet. We limit her treats and try to stick with single ingredient freeze dried salmon. She’s my life and I would do anything for her. Hope this helps other dogs with food sensitivities feel better too!!If you find my review helpful please click the helpful button below, as I wrote this in hopes it would help at least one person!

We have two rescue dogs, both of whom came to us with sensitive stomachs and digestive issues. Finding the right food for them was a challenge until we discovered Purina ONE Sensitive Stomach Dog Food. This product has been a game-changer for our household! Our dogs love the taste, and their digestive issues have significantly improved since switching to this formula. We’ve noticed fewer stomach upsets, healthier stools, and their coats even seem shinier and softer. It’s clear they’re thriving on this food. The convenience of subscribing for monthly deliveries on Amazon is a huge plus for us. We never have to worry about running out, and it’s one less errand to think about. The packaging always arrives in excellent condition, and the subscription price is competitive. We couldn’t be happier with this choice for our pups. If you have dogs with sensitive stomachs, I highly recommend giving this food a try. It’s made a big difference for us and our furry family members!

Really like the brand. Our dog has food allergies and this is the only food he eats. Good quality and nutritional. Also ease of showing in our door instead of buying from other retailer stores.

Delivery prompt. Good food that our dog loves. My only problem is the pungent smell. Not a bad smell but very strong.Recommended

Overall, food wise for my dogs, this food has been good. Made a change towards my Senior dogs skin/coat. He’s been doing well. It’s just every time I order a bag, they change a few things on the bags, banners for example, it’ll say Adult 7+ and it’ll say “Specialized” or like on the photo displayed on Amazon, it’ll say Adult 7+ “Senior”. Another thing to note, the bags are so similar, I bought an “Adult” not 7+ or Senior for my dogs. Not realizing they’re formulated for different age? It’s very misleading and instead of getting the usual Adult 7+ “Senior” I now received just the Adult. Noticed the Ingredients are a bit different, and Protein is different as well. Hopefully it won’t affect my dogs. But something to be aware of.

My dog loves this food. It’s really great for his skin and stomach that is for sure. It is always fresh but check the bag before to make sure no moths or worms because I had had that happen to me from a bag purchased at PetSmart!

I got this brand because it was recommended by my sis dog’s vet. The doggie gets all kinds of fat lumps from the food he eats, and he recently had to have a very large one removed, so I suggested to my sis that it is better to buy more-expensive food than pay for surgery and have the dog suffer, so she agreed. The important thing is that he likes this food. We have a lot of trouble with food because he is a picky eater, so I have to try different brands and see if he will eat it. That’s how I picked the last brand that caused the big fat-lump. Ugh. So far, no lumps growing, so a great sign. I got the sensitive stomach cause he eats grass all the time, but it might be because of how he eats. (He eats breakfast and dinner at night on most days. : / ) I think he still wants to eat grass, so, not sure if that part works or is helping him, or if it is not the issue. Although, now his ALP level is rising and I’m not sure if this brand is the problem. This brand (different flavors) is all we are feeding him. I am testing that by changing the brand to another vet-recommended brand. So the jury is out on that part.Obviously, the price is the price. Cheaper is better, but what can you do? It is supposed to be higher in quality, so…The one thing that bugs me about this brand though, is that a lot of times, there are a lot of crumbs. Sometimes, a significant amount and if you were to toss it, well, that would be a few bucks in the trash, so I give it to the dog. He licks it up, so… Food is food, crumbs or no. lol You know that you would lick the crumbs of some delicious cake, so!

Great for sensitive stomachs
I wish it was a bit more affordable but I guess that’s the cost of having a sensitive dog. This one keeps our dog having regular healthy poops.

Easy on the tummy
My two year old golden loves this food, she’s been on the purina pro plan since a pup and switched about 6 months ago from chicken to salmon and noticed she’s way less itchy, and her coat is now super soft and glossy. It must taste good as she’s always very excited for meal time and has not gotten bored of it. I’ve also had zero issues with her weight being on this food, I feed her 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 cups twice a day.

Perfect for my corgi
My dog simply loves it.

Dogs really seem to like it
Seems to have really helped my dogs. One especially, seems like he is aging backward. He used to have stomach issues for years and I couldn’t figure out what it was. Switched to this and most of his issues vanished. Really a pain in the butt when it’s not in stock.
